Welcome to 2 Friends BBQ, where passion for great food meets the joy of friendship! Founded by two lifelong friends with a shared love for BBQ, our restaurant is dedicated to serving the finest smoked meats and delicious sides in a warm, inviting atmosphere.

I have been cooking smoked meats for about 5 years now. Right after the pandemic I thought long and hard about it. I wanted to create a cooking business making foods that is not only delicious, but foods that would give others the same satisfaction and taste in eating that I get from great tasting foods. I was inspired to cook because I love eating foods that arouse my tastebuds. I have never had any real formal training but I watched a lot of cooking videos online to get pointers about cooking.My favorite types of meats to smoke are tri tip, ribs, chicken, and ribeye steaks. Those are the meats that I’m most passionate about cooking and preparing. They are easy to make and are very tasty.

At 2 Friends BBQ, our mission is to create memorable dining experiences by offering high-quality, flavorful dishes that bring people together. We believe that great food is best enjoyed in the company of friends and family, and we strive to make every meal a celebration.

Making barbecue for others to enjoy means the world to me. I get so much joy from seeing and hearing about how people react from eating my cooking. 

My cooking style has evolved tremendously over the years. My father was a cook in the United States Navy, and he cooked the best foods that made me realize how blessed I was to have him in my life.

My most memorable story and experience related to barbecue is when I was around six years old. My cousin and I would stand outside of Nick’s Barbecue Stand in East Saint Louis, Ill. We would wait outside his bbq stand, smelling the smoked flavor of his meats and watch all the people go inside to buy his bbq. One day he noticed us and called us inside to work, cleaning up the shop to get free foods.

My goals for 2 Friends bbq are to share my tasty foods with as many people as I can and to expand it to other cities and places around
the globe.
